About this piece
A classic BMW painted not as a brochure page but as a memory of one: the body picked out in pinks, blues and purples, the sky behind it burning through yellow and orange into a sunset that flatters the car the way evening light always does. The colors are ‘wrong’ the way good posters are wrong, chosen for feeling rather than accuracy, and the feeling is unambiguous: open road, golden hour, nowhere in particular to be.
At 120 × 80 cm (47.2 × 31.5 in), acrylic on canvas, the painting has enough presence to organise a wall without turning into a mural. It suits the places where car culture actually lives: a study, a garage lounge, a living room that wants exactly one loud thing.
The canvas is sold. It existed as a single signed original, no prints were made of it, and the page now works as portfolio: one more finished piece in the studio’s record of automotive subjects.
That record is open for additions. A commissioned car painting starts from photographs you send and a composition agreed before painting begins. You can choose this sunset treatment or an entirely different palette. The studio prepares a mockup, and work starts only after you approve it. Sizes are flexible, since every commission is painted from scratch. When the canvas is finished it ships the way all the studio’s paintings do, unframed, rolled into a tube, free of charge to most destinations, with tracking, and a framer near you puts it onto stretcher bars.
