Custom portrait rugs from your photograph
A portrait rug starts with your photograph or drawing. Kseniia develops the mockup, agrees the palette and dimensions with you, then tufts and finishes the piece by hand after approval.
Textile art for wall or floor display
Hand-tufted decorative pieces in acrylic, wool or a blend, intended primarily as textile wall art. They may be displayed on the floor, but regular or heavy foot traffic is not recommended.
Original acrylic paintings for modern interiors
Kseniia Derr also makes original paintings, with references ranging from abstraction and Impressionism to Fauvism and Pop Art. Each work is painted and signed by hand; commissioned subjects and dimensions are agreed before painting begins.
Gold leaf and other material details can be added when they belong in the composition.
Tufted wall hangings
A tufted wall piece has the depth of cut pile and the scale of a painting. Send an abstract drawing, a photograph or a reference work; we prepare the mockup and dimensions with you before tufting begins.
How a custom rug is made
1. Concept and references
Send your idea, reference photographs or a rough sketch. We use them to define the subject, scale and palette before drawing the mockup.
2. Scope and quote
We agree the size, palette, material and price. A 50% deposit confirms the order and opens the design stage.
3. Vector mockup and revisions
We prepare a detailed vector mockup in Photoshop using the agreed yarn palette. You can request revisions before approving it for tufting.
4. Tufting and backing
After you approve the mockup, Kseniia transfers the drawing to the foundation fabric and tufts it color by color. The adhesive backing is applied and left to dry fully.
5. Shearing and hand finishing
Once the backing has dried, the rug comes off the frame. Kseniia levels the pile, shapes the details with a trimmer and finishes them by hand with scissors. We then send final photographs and video before the balance is paid.
6. Shipping and guarantee
We pack the rug and ship it with tracking. If it arrives damaged, contact us within seven days with photographs so we can arrange a repair, replacement or return.
Painting and tufting both begin with a drawing. For a custom piece, I study the references, decide what must remain recognizable, and build the work from there, one choice at a time.

How long does it take to make a custom rug?
Made-to-order rugs usually take two to three weeks before dispatch. The exact lead time depends on the size, design and material and is confirmed with the quote.
Will the rug match the approved design exactly?
Yes. We confirm the details and show you the yarn palette before tufting. You can compare the colors in daylight and evening light, and we send clear photographs and video before shipping.
What’s the starting price?
Prices start at $280 for a 33 x 33 inch | 84×84 cm rug. Final cost varies by design complexity, size, and materials.
How do I know the rug’s colors will match my interior?
We send yarn samples and prepare the mockup with the actual shades. We also show how the colors read in bright light and in shadow.
How long is shipping and is tracking provided?
Shipping is free across the EU and to the US; other destinations are quoted individually. Delivery usually takes five to ten days, and every parcel has a tracking number.
Can you design the rug if I don’t have a concept?
Yes. Send photographs of the room, the dimensions and any colors or subjects you want to include. We will propose a drawing and palette for your approval.
What materials do you use?
We tuft with acrylic yarn, acrylic–wool blends and wool. The material is agreed for each design and included in the quote.
Can I hang the rug on a wall?
Yes. Most pieces can be supplied with mounting loops on the textile back. Very large wall works may be prepared for tension framing instead.
How do I care for the rug?
For acrylic and wool rugs, start with a lint roller. Vacuum gently when needed, without a rotating brush, and leave deep stains to a professional rug cleaner.
Do you offer warranty or returns?
If you find a defect, contact us. We will arrange a repair, replacement or return after reviewing the piece with you.
How does the custom order process work?
Send your idea, palette or references. We prepare a mockup and revise it with you. Once you approve it, tufting begins and the design can no longer be changed. We send progress updates through finishing.

Yes. We make pet portraits and other original designs from your photographs, drawings or references.
What if I need to make changes to the design?
Before production, you receive a detailed mockup and can request revisions. Once you approve the final mockup and tufting begins, further design changes are not technically possible.

We accept major credit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers (where available). If you have special payment questions, just ask.
